P 121. Small fragment of pot ornamented with a chevron
design of rouletted lines.
Ware dark grey colour ; average thickness 0.l9 in. Paste dark grey, light
weight and porous
with little or no grit. Ext. surface dark grey, pitted with holes, soapy
to the touch. tnt. surtlice nearly
black, smooth.

P 122. Fragment of a small bowl. Type XXV.
Ext. diam. of rim 5.38 in. ext. diam. of body 7.3l in.,
Ware is of light weight, texture friable ; varies in thickness from 0.l9
in, to 0.38 in. Paste blackish-brown colour, spongy and without grits.
Ext. surface brown, slightly pitted. Int. surface varies from brown to
black, uneven and pitted.
Ornamented below the rim with a band 0.5 in. in depth shaded diagonally
with rouletted lines, bordered above by a single girth groove and below
by double grooves and festooned rouletted lines.
Found in Mound XI.

P 123. Fragment of a bowl. Type IV.
Max. ext. diam. of rim 5.8l in. ; max. ext. diam. of body 6.88 in. lip
beaded.
Ware hard-baked ; varies from 0.3l in. to 0.44 in. in thickness. Paste
dark grey, mixed with quartz grains. Ext. surface black, smooth and burnished.
Int. surface black, scored with tool-marks. Ornamented below rim with
a band 1in. in depth of shaded lozenge-shaped spaces, bordered with double
lines.

P 124. Fragment of a bowl. Type XV
Max. ext. diam. of rim 5.38 in. max. ext. diam. of body 5.81 in. ; average
thickness of ware
0.28 in.
Paste hard-baked, heavy, mixed with masses of small white grains probably
calcite. Ornamented with a narrow band near the rim shaded with diagonal
lines, and on the body reversed festoons (bordered by double lines) shaded
with cross hatching.

P 125. Two fragments of an ornamented bowl.
The ware has a reddish tint as if it had been baked a second time ; average
thickness 0.31 in.
Paste hard-baked and heavy, mixed with grit. Ext. surface originally black
and burnished. Int. surface reddish-grey colour, sandy to the touch. Ornamented
with a deeply incised pattern of rectangular and triangular-shaped spaces.
Found in Mound III, 1913.

P 127A. Fragment of ornamented bowl, lip round. Variant, probably
of Type XV.
Max. ext. diam. of rim (approx.) 6 in. ; max. ext. diam. of body (approx.)
6.38 in.
Ware hard-baked, strong and heavy; thickness varies from 0.25 in. to 0.31
in. Paste dark grey, nearly black, well mixed with quantity of fine grit.
Ext. surface black, smooth, burnished and tool-marked. Int. surface black,
fairy smooth, tool-marked. Ornamented below rim with band 0.75 in. in
depth, of cross-hatching, bordered above and below by one girth groove.
