Danebury Round House CS1 - 2011

Late Iron Age house from Danebury Hillfort

This is the last house the author furnished.
In the early stages of furnishing, personal items were used. Over the following year, a number of pieces of furniture were purpose built. With a few attempts under the belt, this is approaching the standard that at present, with the evidence so far, we can take a good guess at how the iron age people lived.
It is missing all the consumables that would be stored in every area possible, as the house has to cope with not being lived in.

The photos rotate from left to right as you stand in the doorway.
At the bottom of the page is the guide that was written as interpretation for the public to read, whilst standing in the house.
