David Freeman Historical and Archaeological Interpreter

I have been working in the archaeological world since 1979.

I work as a freelance interpreter, specialising in the Iron Age/Celtic/ Romano-British period. I undertake work on various sites (Peat Moors Centre - Somerset, Butser Ancient farm - Hampshire) and museums across the south of England, giving lectures, living history displays and site tours for schools, societies and adult groups. I also teach ancient technologies, and run practical courses.

I have appeared on local and national television and radio, including:-BBC2 - Open University programmes
Discovery - channel on cable and satellite
Meridian TV - the first episode of 'Time Tourists'
History Channel - Created iron-age reconstruction for 'Celtic Myths'
BBC Knowledge - What if 'Boudica'

And many others...

I have been used as a model for a Historical Illustrator.

I have published booklets on
'How to Build a Round House'
'Make Your Own Celtic Clothing,
'Warriors and Weapons'
'Prehistoric Shelters'

If you would like to find out if I can help you email me for information.
